Best Kids Parties: Peter Pan

My Party

Name: Charlotte, 3
Location: Glen Burnie, MD

Charlotte loves Peter Pan so we went with a full-on Peter Pan-themed party. Our backyard was the perfect setting to transform into the areas of Neverland: Pixie Hollow, the Lost Boys Hideout and Pirate's Cove.

Much of the decor was DIY, from signs and over-sized flowers, to paper waves and a pirate sail. We served a dinner in keeping with our theme (chicken nuggets were "pirate's gold," fruit skewers were "fairy wands," bowtie pasta was "pixie wings" and so on). The "kids", from infant to adult, enjoyed a treasure hunt using a map that I painted myself and played with Lego pirate ships. Many guests came dressed in character and I even made my little girl's Peter Pan costume! We had a fabulous time!!

Thanks, Katie! You can see more photos and info over on Katie's blog.
