My son carries around a ball of Play-doh in his hand AT ALL TIMES. When it came time to plan his birthday party, a Play-doh party was the only option. We turned our backyard into a Play-Doh factory. The invitees got a jar of Play-Doh informing them the factory was hiring as well as the available "shift." When they arrived, they "clocked in" and received an apron and hat. They also took their "photo id" pics.
Then we had the "production line" set up where everyone made their own Play-Doh. Then they moved on to "Research & Development" where we had a ton of toys and cookie cutters. I made my dessert table look like the actual conveyer belt with a long line of cake push pops coming down the middle of the table. We even had product packaging where the kids could put their Play-Doh in customized containers and pack up mini rolling pins and cookie cutters. The party was a HUGE hit. My son went through the factory first and didn't budge from research and development even as all his friends were arriving. :)
