Best Kids Parties: Robots

My Party

Name: Hendrix (1)
Location: Washington, DC

We liked the idea of a robot theme because it felt kind of cool and old-school. We used classics like Intergalactic by the Beastie Boys and Planet Rock by Afrika Bambaata for the soundtrack and also for an awesome robot dance contest. There was some serious popping and locking going on!

We served pigs in a blanket (robo-dogs, for the theme's sake), pasta with pesto and heirloom tomatoes, turkey and swiss sandwiches, creamy lobster dip, peppered salami with goat cheese, crudite with spicy red pepper hummus, and yummy chocolate cake. We decorated with colorful DIY signs, fresh flowers, personlized drink labels, and prize bags filled with freshly baked cookies.

Hendrix enjoyed his first taste of sugar and loads of wrapping paper. It was an awesome day!

Thanks Amber!
