My daughter absolutely adores Elmo so it was a no brainer that she would have an Elmo inspired birthday party. However, as I was planning the party decorations I wanted a broader color scheme than the traditional red and orange that Elmo provided so I decided to do a Sesame Street theme and incorporate additional characters and more primary colors.
The decorations were all made of primary colors and had customized Sesame street signs that I purchased from an Etsy store. The balloon wreath and ribbon centerpieces were items I made. We had a table covered in craft paper for the kids to draw on as well as a Sesame Street tattoo station to represent Elmo's World. There was a cookie table with Cookie Monster and the Thank You gifts also incorporated several Sesame Street/Elmo items to go along with the theme.
Source List:
• Sesame Street scene setter, cupcake decorations and paper lanterns: Party City
• Thank you bag items were from Target, Walmart and Whimsical Gigi

I love this! My two year old is obsessed with Sesame Street. She won't watch anything else, which is just fine with me. You did a great job--I love the wreath!
Thanks AT for featuring our party and thanks NellyMom for the comment!
