Best Kids Parties: Strawberries

My Party

Name: Sophie
Location: Sydney, Australia

I was so lucky that my daughter requested a Strawberry themed birthday party for her 4th birthday because strawberries were in peak season and less than $2 a punnet!

So we didn't hold back and all the party food was strawberry-related including a chocolate-coconut cake with vanilla buttercream frosting topped with strawberries, strawberries and cream cupcakes, strawberry jellies in tiny tea cups, strawberry smoothies, strawberry and meringue parfaits, and of course strawberries with warm chocolate fondue for dipping.

The invitations, thank you cards and all decorations were a printable party pack by Lisa Tilse for Modern Printables.com. We borrowed a neighbour's jumping castle for entertainment for the 23 children and friend chipped in to bring savoury plates for the 23 adults. My favourite part was the goodie bag - which we replaced with a strawberry plant for each family, repotted in a rustic container and tied with a red checked ribbon and thank you gift tag.

Thanks Steph! Readers, visit Steph on her blog, Bondville.
