Best Kids Parties: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

My Party

Name: Owen, 5
Location: Wimberley, TX

Owen's 5th birthday party was scheduled for the week we planned to move to another city. But his favorite thing in the world (right now) is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and he was set on that as a birthday party for at least six months before the party. So we had to bump things up two weeks.

Own was sad about leaving his friends, neighbors, and preschool so we wanted him to have a wonderful day. We made his cake (chocolate on the bottom, lemon on the top) as well as the cake balls. Owen's dad has become pretty handy with fondant and made all of the cake decorations. We got several ideas from Pinterest, including using paper lanterns and green balloons decorated to look like the turtles. We ordered his birthday shirt from Etsy (we had no time with packing) as well as the beautifully iced Turtle cookies, and the Donatello piñata. The kids enjoyed a bounce house and a balloon maker. His creations were amazing! We ate pizza, of course, served in personalized pizza boxes and drank ooze punch. The guests each took home their own Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. Owen had a wonderful day and enjoyed every moment of his party. We were lucky to have a house filled with friends and family who wanted to share Owen's special day with him.

Thanks, Karen!
