Best Kids Parties: Trains

My Party

Name: Avin (2)
Location: McKinleyville, CA

My Son Avin LOVES trains. It was all he talked about for months prior to his birthday so deciding on a train theme was easy.

We held the party in our yard with a big cardboard train as the main attraction. I created the train out of a few large cardboard boxes and a lot of tape. We also had all of his train toys out for the kids to play with. We served sandwiches shaped like trains made with cookie cutters as well as popcorn, watermelon and a few other things. I made a train shaped cake and guests enjoyed their cake with little cartons of milk with train flagged straws.

Homemade train bunting decorated the party spaces and guests were each given a hat and bandanna as well as a goody bag filled with sidewalk chalk, snacks and a train coloring sheet with markers.
