Indigo Lily (1)

For my daughter's first birthday, we threw her a "vintage birdie tea party," and donned our best vintage dresses for the occasion!
I cut out birds and pages from vintage books to use for the invitations (which also included a bag of tea) and decor. I used vintage pages to make bunting, and used fishing line to hang a little flock of birds over the food table.
A glass jar held an assortment of teas, two vintage beverage dispensers held hot water and cold sweet tea, and guests could take their pick from mismatched thrift store tea cups. The plates were also an eclectic collection of thrift store china, and the food spread included delicious earl grey cupcakes with honey-lemon buttercream frosting (made by my sisters) and cucumber sandwiches. On their way out the door, guests grabbed a tiny nest with jordan almond "eggs" nestled inside.
My husband's sister-in-law is a photographer, and did a beautiful job documenting the day for us.
Thanks Noël! Readers, see more on Tibault and Toad.
