Best Kids Parties: Woodland Gnomes

My Party

Name: Max (1)
Location: Milwaukie, Oregon

For Max's first birthday party we had a gnome/woodland theme. I found some cool fabric at IKEA to use as a back drop and bought fun balloons that reminded me of toadstools.

I hung a mushroom pinata in the middle as a centerpiece. Each party guest was given a gnome hat to wear, little ones enjoyed this so much! We decorated the food table with toadstools and mushrooms, a moss runner and woodsy dishes. The cake was decorated with a little gnome candle and fondant leaves, berries, mushrooms and candy rocks. We carved a watermelon to look like a hedgehog and made radish toadstools as garnishes for the salad and food plates. Little guests played a woodland scavenger hunt. We had a great time!

Fun! Thanks Emily!
