Malissa's party revolved around a cheerful color, not to mention her cheerful daughter. She shares: For our daughter's first birthday we wanted to keep it simple. Everything was either yellow or white: homemade pom-poms, sunflowers, photos documenting her first 12 months and cupcakes made with her grandmother's cream cheese frosting.
Since we scheduled the party for early in the day - it worked best with her nap schedule - light brunch items were a no-brainer.
Party favors were egg shakers (Skylar's favorite toy) and Hot Wheels cars since so far she's the only little girl in our circle of friends. Bubbles and a cornmeal "sand" table kept little hands busy while the adults enjoyed their nosh.
Thanks Malissa!
