Do you have to give a key to the USPS when you get one of these? How does that work?

I have the envelope one. It has a slot on top that the mail goes in, so you only need a key to get the mail out. Or tongs, I guess.
We just gave some friends the Windows one for their wedding--it was on the registry, I swear.
