We spent all weekend outdoors revamping our outdoor area (well, mainly staining and sealing the new picnic table). So we were super appreciative to see Lynn-Anne's wonderful (and sprawling) outdoor area that was decorated to a T.
Robin's Egg blue and yellow are one of our favorite color combos--it's bright, bold and breathes ton of life into any space. Lynn-Anne has translated these colors wonderfully onto mismatched wrought iron chairs. The space reads playful with the help of a bright yellow textile, complete with a fringe of pom-poms. A grouping of hanging lanterns brings a pop of color upwards--which frames the outdoor setting. A few added accessories such as a tin basin, a bird bath and painted bird house fill the seating area for a welcoming vibe.

Shaw's Original Fir...
LA-LA-LA-LLLOVE IT!
I hate the big head chair. I would prefer more symmetry at each end.
I agree with the chair. I don't know how comfortable it would be to sit in something with built-in blinders.
oh wow. i'm a sucker for a pom-pom fringe. love!
It's like a happy Mad Hatter's tea party! Fun!
I actually really love the big chair. I think it adds to whimsy of the whole arrangement. Definitely looks like a fun place to have a party!
Wonderful, wonderful. Check out the W Sobe hotel in South Beach...similar feel to some of the outdoor spaces but more luxe, very cool with robin's egg blue bird cages hanging from the trees...I want to go to there! check out the designers website: http://www.studiobdesign.net/
The blue reminds me of aged copper, a hard but very pleasing color to come by. It brings a welcomed antiquity to the chairs used this way. Beautiful combination of white, yellow and blue.
i like the big chair too - i wouldn't want to sit it in personally but i can imagine my 8 yr old daughter feeling like a queen in her throne at a birthday party there!
thanks everyone for your comments ~ that big chair is a bit mad, i know. this is just a mismatched group of old chairs spray painted -- i actually saw that big chair as i was driving by a secondhand shop, and i thought my kids would get a kick out of it, which they did. it is not particularly comfy, though!
