It's January here at AT, which means we're supporting fresh starts and focusing on revamping your bedroom. The most important room in your home, this is a great month to declutter and make any upgrades because A. it's cold outside and B. sheets and bedding are on huge sale this year across the country, so the SUPER expensive stuff, Italian sheets, etc, are now within reach... As far as trends, what I'm seeing this year is that people's fascination with the chic, more formal Hotel Bedroom is fading, and a much more homey, colorful and playful look is feeling much more appropriate for now. Perhaps this is the bedroom equivalent of comfort food?
>> Missoni Bedding - is a new find and, in one of the most colorful collections of all ---
>> 1891 by Sferra - Another newcomer, this is a new, more affordable line from this fancy design house, which pumps the color and pattern way up. ---
>> Marimekko Collection at Crate & Barrel ---
Dwell Studio - Always modern and playful, they've been out front with bold graphics longer than anyone. ---
Amenity Home - Subtle and sunny. Organic and from LA. ---
Jiti Bedding - A newcomer to the field and very exciting. World colors with a modern sensibility. --- Jonathan Adler - Hotel gone over the top. Adler's style should make you smile. --- Eileen Fisher Linen - Luxurious fabrics for organic modern. --- Matteo - The most luxurious (and spartan) we know. A favorite last year, Matteo is looking a little too spartan to us this year. --- Area Home - subtle colors and shapes with rich fabrics. Hotel chic. ODDS & ENDS:
