Best of Three. This is a tough one. We're doing a little comparison shopping with three high-end classics designed by Hans Wegner and available at Room and Board...which do you think is the best bet for design longevity and good value for the money out of the three shown above?
From Left: Wegner Easy Chair is $2675. and is made of solid oak with a papercord rope woven seat.
Wegner Ladderback Chair is $1475. and is made of solid oak with a papercord rope woven seat.
Wegner Shell Chair is $2175. and is made of solid oak with a padded fabric seat.

My fave will always be the wishbone. These are all lovely - I'd only do one of the shell chair, as it's sculptural and stands out all by itself as a special find. If I wanted a pair, I'd go w/ the lounge.

I always seem to like the most expensive option. Blast! I swear I don't look at the price until AFTER I've made my aesthetical choice. So I like the shape of the easy chair most. "But of course...," moans my wallet.
Easy. its the Easy Chair.
Can anyone direct me to NYC location where one can find a more affordable replica of either the Wegner easy chair (CH 25) or the Wegner plank chair (GE 290)?
The plank replicas are available on-line (all from Australia!), but one wants to try them out, before buying.
The easy chair original is at Room & Board, & for a person with back problems, it is divinely comfortable. And beautiful.
Thank you!
