We have our fingers crossed for a Chicago outpost of Muji to open soon - while on vacation this summer, we hit several European outlets of the Japanese chain. The pared down aesthetic is infectious - while in the shops, you can almost imagine living in a completely muji-fied household. Here is a look at three of their pieces - varying price points and uses, all metal...which would you choose for design longevity and value? Voting, links and prices below:

Muji is great even for those who aren't wild about minimalism. I was in a store of theirs in Japan (before they went global) and it looked like a Gap, minus the logos and including more household goods.
Their clothes were great, their furniture and kitchen goods were really awesome...I can't wait until it comes to Chicago, too!
