The classic Eames Rocker is available in multiple colors and costs $449.
The new Ny Folding Rocking Chair is $450. (Ny ottoman also available.)
Emeco Heritage Rocking Chair by Phillipe Starck is available with two finishes. The brushed finish is $655 and the polished finish is $1,365.
The Mademoiselle Rocking Chair is $2,000 and currently available in white.

I have the Eames in blue one and love it! Kinda dig the Emeco too.
The Emeco rocker is all sorts of wrong. It's a decidedly brutal looking chair with a couple of bowed rocker slats tacked onto it- it's the platypus of chairs.
Agree that the Emeco rocker has some major wrongness about it. Every time I look at it, I can only envision some unfortunate soul (old lady with a lap blanket?!?) sitting on it terrified as it races down a snowy ski slope.
rocking chairs without arm rests confuse me...how do you sit comfortable and rock? I'd imagine you'd look really funny trying to rock with your arms all stiff at your sides.
That Emeco rocker is fug, yikes.
The Eames Rocker is by far the best rocking chair ever! I sweat that chair so much. I want it in white.
I love the look of the Eames rocker, but it leans way too far back for a chair without shoulder or neck support. Maybe I'm just out of shape, but I find it tiring after awhile.
For years I've coveted an Eames rocker - orange/zinc/maple.
I finally drove 400 miles to DWR last Saturday and tried one out...and for me, it was really uncomfortable; it just didn't fit my back at all. My heart sank. :-(
I love classic Emeco chairs such an ionic american classic but the rocker is lame and I really don't care for much of Phillipe Starck he is tired to me. Always thought that particular Eames rocker was cute, whimsical.
I wish someone made reproductions of the classic mid-century teak armchair rocker.
I guess I'll eventually be forced to buy one off eBay and make new cushions to replace the inevitable orange tweed upholstery.
Eames for me! I agree its not an all day chair, but I think its great for conversations, and reading a chapter or two in a book.
the Emeco is the reason Phillipe Starck should give up design. Seriously.
Is this advertising or editorial? There seems to be a decided propensity to promote DWR, CB2, Room & Board, and West Elm. Or is this just my imagination?
I appreciate the conversation about the chairs, but why just from DWR? I know that Herman Miller Eames Rocker is available from at least a dozen other places, not counting knock-offs.
Not that I mind advertising, that's a big part of my job. But were it my blog (and I realize that it is not), I would present it as such, rather than bury it in the editorial content.
I just bought the a fiberglass rocker from Modernica. I prefer it much better than the plastic material from DWR. Have tried seating on both and the DWR feels a bit cheap.
The folding rocker scares me....
