One of the best products we have used since baby's arrival is the cotton muslin burp cloth. We received a basketful from family in Asia (by French company Absorba). We preferred them over all of the embroidered and personalized burpies we received as shower gifts. So soft and durable, our only complaint was they didn't come in larger sizes. So when we were tipped off to Aden + Anais, we had to share! Aussie mothers Claudia and Raegan recognized the lack of cotton muslin items for American babies and established Aden + Anais in 2004 as a result.

Check out the wonderful patterns and soft colors. For purists, they come in all white as well. You can see how airy the muslin is from the waffled texture.

The muslin wraps are large enough to swaddle a newborn, but they have a multitude of other uses. Use them as a sheet, a mat on the floor for tummy time, a nursing cover, a burp cloth, a shield for the stroller against sun and insects, or a light blanket. The wraps can be machine washed and tumble dried. The site says the more you wash the muslin wraps, the softer they get. That certainly is true for the Absorba burpies. You get 4 in a pack for $44 available from Aden + Anais directly.
