2005_9_23_KETTLE.jpgHaving used this kettle for the past two days, we have to admit it to our kettle hall of fame. The Windsor quick boil teakettle is a British design with a simple, clean, metal body and wood handle, which uses the odd-looking raised coil ridge underneath to direct heat to the water more quickly. The body is chrome over copper with a nickel interior lining, and it holds two quarts, which is a lot.

It works. They say "A watched pot doesn't boil"? You can watch this one, and it will boil. Available for mucho dolares (@ $90) at not too many places: Williams-Sonoma, Sur La Table.
