The coolest wall clock of 2011 must be Rosendahls remake of danish designer Arne Jacobsens legendary Wall Clocks. http://www.rosendahl-timepieces.com/Arne%20Jacobsen%20Wall%20Clocks-3022.aspx?ProductID=Datasheet68
My fav is the Font clock.

Now you see - this is why I love AT. Not only do you constantly discover very cool things ... but you get the biggest buzz when they're made in your own back yard. I absolutely LOVE the word clock - I think that is such a conversation piece - it is so different. Coming from Bondi (and you all know where Bondi is, right?) I'm used to having to haggle you guys to please please please ship to me ... but this word clock is made in Oz! you little rippa!! thanks AT! xx
I am also obsessed with clocks. And these clocks are nice. But the best of the year? Really?
Design trips over its own feet sometimes. Many clocks are designed so well that you can glance at them at discern the time in a split-second, without even a conscious effort. Many of these well-designed clocks are available for $15 instead of $150 (or $400 -- really, $400?). Some of the "best" clocks of 2011 are so "designed" that you have to squint at them to decipher a simple bit of data.
The time when you figure out what time it is shouldn't be significantly later than the time it was when you looked at the clock.
Given the price........IKEA for me.
The Rosendahls is a pleasure to look at!
There is also the Bengt Ek range of wall clocks.

There are also more in the Karlsson range to look at, like this one:

Have to admit though, the Max Bill clock is the most beautiful.
In line with Max Bill is the clock designed by Georg Jensen:

There is also the Georg Jensen Henning Koppel Weather Station, which has a clock and 3 other guages. So beautiful!

That word clock is just...so...perfect!
Am I the only one who thinks most of this selection is boring ? Except the Bias clock ...
Not a huge fan of ticking clocks, but I have always loved the calender flip clocks. They remind me of standing in the queue at the post office when I was a kid!
