Q: One of my cats has the bad habit of scratching under the bedroom door to be let in or out. This has resulted in a pretty bad dent. At this point, even with his claws trimmed he is able to make further damage, because the finish is gone and the bare (soft) wood is exposed and chipped (you could get a splinter from walking on it!). The floors are old, so I'm not too bothered about how it looks, but I don't want it to worsen. What would be the best way to fill/seal the dent?
