Best Way to Disguise Ugly Kitchen Electric Panel?

Good Questions

Q: I have a super ugly access panel that leads to an even uglier electrical panel… right in the middle of my kitchen wall. I'm trying to come up with a clever way to hide it and make it blend in better with the wall overall, but the proximity of the panel to the backsplash and counter/cabinets is making it a challenge. I'm hoping some creative readers can help me come up with some ideas!

Photo 1 shows it as it usually is - all closed up.

Photo 2 shows it with its cover off.

Photo 3 shows it with its cover off and the panel door open.

The other complicating factor is that the cabinet door in the top left in the photo opens toward the wall, so whatever solution I come up with cannot be too thick, or the cabinet door bangs into it.
