Hopefully you remembered to put your houseplants out to catch some rain this weekend. While we were putting ours out we started thinking about spring planting and decided to stock up on some simple white pots. We also liked the idea of some vintage finds that you wouldn't automatically think to put your plants into. Our favorites right here:

Not only is white classic, but it can bring light and unity to some potentially mix matched houseplants. White also make s great backdrop for healthy green leaves.
• Pictured up top: Case Study Ceramic Cylinder Plant pot $149

• Favela Stacking Vases from Reform School $17

• Set of 3 Varen Planters from Ikea $15.99

• Jardiniere Container from Bauer Pottery $200

where can I get the ones in the first picture with the wooden stands?
never mind- but can anyone find it cheaper?
who makes the platers pictured at the top with the wooden bases? where can i get those?
Ohh, those top ones (with wooden legs) are great...
gah! Those top ones are precisely what I've been looking for! Why aren't they available in white on the site? :(
... or perhaps sage *is* white? How odd..
Being a) strapped for funds b) a huge fan of white pots and c) a plant addict, I have always relied on Ikea for my plant pot needs. Boring, I know, but I truly think that the plant is the focal point...
I recently found some chic Ikea all white designs that I can't find on their website. One featured an Orla Kiely-esque leaf pattern in relief, and there were also some simple horizontal and vertical stripes.
what site can you buy the white ones with the wooden stands from???
abeetthousand, it says right in the post:

aha. dur moment. thanks for pointing that out! : )
Hey everyone, the white pots with the wooden legs pictured up top are from Modernica and they carry the white ones in the store on Beverly. You can probably talk to Julia and figure out a way or them to ship them, even if they aren't listed on the site! Good Luck!
imavunderbrah,
I think all three colors are in the top picture - the sage one is off on the right. Unfortunately, that leaves the mystery as to why the white one isn't on the Modernica site.
Good stuff.
While not cheap, I also recommend the Architectural Pottery reissues by Vessel.

A medium-sized one with a stand also makes a great fireplace wood holder (that's how I'm using it)
Plenty of sleek pots are available in other colors for less, which with a couple of coats of white outdoor paint become -- presto -- white pots.
Hey guys,
I recently purchased the most amazing white planters at http://www.urbnat.com.
After searching endlessly on Beverly Blvd. and online I was so happy to find them. They are hand made here in SoCal and have a beautiful finish.
They worked perfectly on my rooftop and were really easy to install since they're made of a durable, lightweight fiberglass.
$150 for a planter in this economy? Seriously?
