Long time fans of interior designer, Betsy Burnham's work, we were excited when we came across these lovely photos of the rooms she designed for her teenage children. Her signature bold layered look abounds with an added element of youthfulness in their LA home.
We love the stunning "Ivy Enchantment" colored walls that are in her daughter Carson's room. It is a perfect shade that is colorful and a bit refined at the same time. The room embraces the fact that teenagers have stuff and want to display it. We wish our mom was so cool as to get a one-of-a-kind Union Jack dresser! Click on over to Decor Demon to see more photos of Carson's room and photos of her son Will's room too.

so.... I want this room as an adult... and I need to know more about those beautiful curtains. What a lucky teen!!!
i was about to say-- who gets a professionally-decorated room as a teen?! my room was decorated with tearsheets from vogue and the same furniture i'd had since i was 6...
and... there is curtain info on the link.... yep... must be fun having a designer momma with $$$.
That is a great green.
The Union Jack dresser is to die for. I'm going to paint mine with the stars and stripes (OK. I'm going to have it painted ... by a professional).
Oooh...is that Union Jack dresser the Craigslist find?
I love the dresser too! heck out: http://thefrenchprovincialfurniture.com/my-french-provincial-dixie-union-flag-dresser-makeover
I'm an adult and I'd love that bedroom. The Mexican embroidered bed cover is to die for.
wingit, you crack me up.
That is AWESOME. I love this room because it's so colorful without being matchy-matchy; it's playful without being childish, and definitely a room that won't be too young for very long.
Whenever I see teen stuff, it's usually in PBteen or catalogs of its ilk, which assume that everything needs to be purple or green, repetitive, and simple. The complexity of this room is awesome. What a lucky kid!
I love the green on the walls. It's bright enough to be cheerful without making my eyes hurt.
What fantastic windows!
That's a great shade of green...I'm green with envy... I'd like that room myself.
