Name: Beverly
Location: Highlands, North Carolina
Type of Home: beach house
Color Inspiration: I wanted to add a splash of color to an all white kitchen in a unique way. I ended up creating Beach Glass Cabinet Knobs in a wide array of beachy colors to accomplish this.
Give Beverly a THUMBS UP if you think this room belongs in the finals!

Beach House Kitchen
Colors Used: The knobs come in just about any color combination you can imagine. I've chosen Banana Slug with Sea Blue Green accent, Lime Soda with Dark Blue accent, Stormy Gray with Deep accent and Sea Blue Green with Sky accent to name a few.
Color Tip: Small spots of colors work great without overwhelming, particularly in a smaller space.

As much as I love the colorful hardware on the white cabinets I wish the colors were picked up more by additional pops of color elsewhere in the room either with more accessories or maybe more color on the walls.
More views of room, fewer shots of cabinets. Love the knobs, though.
Picking up that bottom right blue colored knob from the 4th picture on the walls would have been awesome. The floors and white shutters would pop against it and give an ultra-beachy vibe, without being beach-themey. Afterall, it's a beach house!
Nice knobs but what else is in this room? More Cabinets...and knobs? Next time try and add in some different views and at least one pic of the space as a whole :)
really? knobs on white cabinets...not sure how this qualifies for the contest.
Where is the colored room?
Do you have some interesting coordinating colours anywhere else in the room? I think it would be great to have that dark stormy sea-glass blue as a wall colour somewhere!
As is, I don't think this post is really relevant to this compeition since it's just a cabinet and not a whole room...should have been posted seperately from the contest as just a regular post about a really cool idea.
I agree with those about the room and especially SQ.
The first shot tells the whole story, The other shots are just repeating.
Not enough pics. for a thumbs up. Sorry. I do love those knobs, however. Did you make them yourself?
I know, not enough pics. But I'm not there right now & had to get the photos in & these were all I had in my computer. My photos don't really do the room justice.
You can find the knobs on etsy, by searching for "sea glass knobs".
I'd give this a thumbs up if the walls were painted but so far all I can see is it's a neutral room with coloured knobs.
Hmmm.....
I love the simplicity of the white with the colorful glass accent knobs.
we needed 5 pictures of the same thing? i'm sorry, but we need to see more. the knobs are cute, but a wide shot & a close up would've been plenty. thanks for sharing though.
I'm amazed at the effect that these colorful knobs have on this neutral space. They add joy and whimsy. It's easy to paint walls and add accessories...but these unique knobs will be what's noticed here.
If the focal point of your kitchen is the knobs, there are some serious decorating and design flaws going on. The geometric sea glass on white could be really awesome, but this room seriously lacks character. This kitchen needs a LOT more work before those nice knobs do anything. Add some bold wall color, plants, and art pieces.
Actually, "just changing knobs" is a GREAT way to add color to a room, particularly in an apartment situation where you may not have the option of painting or making too many other changes. Just because "anyone can go online and get nobs [sic]" isn't a very good reason not to use a viable, economical option for adding color to a room.
Unlike many other options, it's easy, fast, low in cost, and you can take them with you when you leave or easily make a change when you want to update, even if it's just for holiday decorating. Maybe not a great way to win a contest, but it *is* a great way to add color and style.
Those knobs are truly beautiful, and what an impact they make in the kitchen. What a great way to update!
A lot more thought should have gone into this entry. For starters, perhaps the entrant should have asked herself, "Do I have a colorful kitchen?"
Now I've seen everything...coloured knobs consititutes entry to a COLOR contest...wow.
