It is How To month here at Apartment Therapy, and we're celebrating the creativity involved in doing it yourself! In honor of good ideas and crafty projects, we'd like to submit the Bicycle Wheel Lazy Susan as one of our favorite DIYs of late.
ReadyMade, one of the best go-to magazines for the crafty, has this great project that we love! We recently went to a dim sum restaurant and had so much fun with the lazy susan in the center of the table. Lo and behold, a few days later we came across this awesome project idea! Bingo!
For roughly $15 (according to the magazine) and a relatively short amount of time, you can create your own, updated version of this classic table setting. We're in!

Ercol Bar Stool
c'mon now :>/
It's certainly clever, but it makes me think of wagon wheel coffee tables which makes me think of Billy Crystal.
Sorry, not crazy about this idea.
I would just worry about things sliding or spilling, because the surface isn't flat, is it?
As a two-wheeled commuter I think this is so fun!
@theresaclare- The wheel has plexiglas on top so its flat!
