Color: Julie says they are feeling majorelle blue but thinks bright colors like magenta and orange will be popular with upholstery this year. Definitely "down with neutrals," but she encourages contrast with black and white.
Hip outdoor element: In Julie's words, "Cool chicken coops are the new fire pit." (Stay tuned to the Outdoor channel this month to see some posts about chickens and their coops!).
Sustainability: She says we'll be seeing more and more xeriscaping as well as incorporating native plantings that require a less frequent watering schedule. Victory garden style mini-gardens are also really popular.
Hot interior plants: Julie says for the interior, fiddle leaf fig trees and pony tail palms are making a big comeback.
Cool products: "We just got some cool new lanterns from Not Neutral, Seed Bombs that we make here, Tade Tire containers (planters made from recycled tires!), Esther Studio pots, and we sell this awesome Intelligent Nutrients organic perfume spray that doubles as mosquito repellant. It really works and smells awesome."
