Name: Brodie (1 month)
Location: Ringgold, GA
Color Inspiration: After months of searching, I found a fabric with zoo animals on it that I fell in love with. This fabric became my jumping off point for other fabrics, furniture colors, and wall color.
Tip for Using Color: Balance color with neutrals. If your fabrics, walls, and art are very colorful, then balance the room with harmonious furniture (all white, all mid-tone stains, all dark furniture). If you have a mixture of woods for furniture, then tone down the number of fabrics and repeat them around the room.
By using shades of white and off-white furniture in this nursery, the bright colors in the room stand out without being too over-powering. If the furniture were mix of colors, it would become visually cluttered and over stimulating for the child.
Colors Used: Wall Color: Custom Color- Paint: Valspar Flat Enamel
Bookcase Exterior: Benjamin Moore White Chocolate
Bookcase Interior: Benjamin Moore Moonshine
Crib: Benjamin Moore Distant Grey
Chest: Benjamin Moore White Chocolate
Side Table Top Coat: Benjamin Moore Little Angel

Sprout Side Table
I love that this room has cheerful pops of color but yet is overall very calm... useful for not only the kids but the very tired parent of an infant! And everything in this room looks designed for comfort in addition to style. Kudos.
Where did you find the zoo animals fabric?
I love this room. I love the soft blue of the walls with the brighter color pops. I especially love the curtains...where do they come from??
Thank you very much- it turned out better than I could have imagined!
It is from a fabric line that I carry. Email me and I can give you more information!

Love your room, especially the fun animal wall art. I also like the personal touch of the family hand prints. All the color pops and whimisical animals throughout the room makes this a fun room for your baby as he develops
