We're cooling off just looking at this Bio Glass from Coverings Etc.. Actually, the oppressive humidity has broken and we think it really is cooling off out there, but this recycled glass material looks cool, nonetheless.

Bio Glass is 100% recyblable, and can be used as a finish on floors (!), walls, and countertops. The material comes in a 3/4" thickness and sheets as long as 8'. In polished or hammered finishes, this stuff is marvelous and would bring a soothing feeling to any space. We want to see a huge single slab of it as our tiny bathroom's floor.

That one in the first picture is gorgeous and I think would be instantly relaxing. Sign me up for a bathroom floor also!
I like... my fave is the white.
Um, isn't *all* glass 100% recyclable?
I think she meant 100% recycled. At least according to the site, it is.
I love the idea of it in the bathroom, esp the deep blue. But what's the cost?
I have installed it Bioglass in my kitchen and it is worthless. Cracks, fractures, chunks have fallen off. WOrse is CoveringsETC has not stould behing their product.
Yes, Bio Glass is made from 100% recycled glass that is 100% recyclable.... Some products are not recyclable because of the types of binders used to form the glass into slabs. Bio Glass does not use binders, chemicals, resins or pigments, so it can be recycled.
