Here's inspiration to get organized. Tricia of Bits & Bobbins let us share a photo of her beautifully organized card catalog (bought at a community college auction), re-appropriated to hold all of her art and sewing supplies. She's even labeled each drawer with hand stamped coloured cards, which goes well to compliment the rest of her joyfully decorated interior.
We're hoping Tricia invites AT San Francisco for a home tour of her colourful and inviting apartment. The rest of her home is filled with many other inspiring ideas that goes beyond just bits and bobbins. Thanks for sharing Tricia!

I am in the process of trying to figure out a system for storing my own bits and bobbins. Thanks for this fanciful example of how to do this creatively. Tricia please allow us the pleasure of seeing more.
How funny, we've actually been working with Tricia on a House Tour -- stay tuned!
I work in a library and am trying my best to sweet talk them out of the card catalogs we are currently emptying.
I did get the cards for a few favorite authors and movies.
...oh how I want the beautiful wooden card cabinets!
I want a card catalog so bad! I saved this image to my flikr faves a month ago. I library I volunteered at remodeled but planned on keeping their catalog for nostalgia.
Hmmm...I'm thinking it might be cool to try to use it as an entertainment center. One of those pull-out slats could hold a small flat screen (like my ridiculously tiny one) if you take some extra support precautions and drill a hole or two... I might try it.
