Although a good sense of humor might not be the first thing you'd expect in a dish rack or a coat hanger, it's refreshing to find frequent hidden (and sometimes not-so-hidden) jokes in the work of design duo Dan Black and Martin Blum.
Based in London, the two designers work together to develop and refine products for the ordinary world, including fruit bowls, tape dispensers, lampshades, and lunchboxes. They sell their work through an online store and a network of retail dealers including the MoMA Store, Amazon.com, and other US shops.
They've won a slew of design awards — in addition to practicality, clean-lined contemporary style is a hallmark of their style. For more information on the products shown above, click through the links below.

That fan is awesome!
That adjustable table/floor lamp is awesome, too!
Love the candleabra.
As well, thank you for putting links just below the photo. I like clikcing on it and instantly there's a link below it. I noticed this in the "colorful things in your kitchen" post earlier today, and really liked it. Thanks...
Maybe I am dense, but however cool these are, where is the joke?
I'm laughing to myself, because I can think of a funnier version of "Mr. and Mrs. Hang-up"

The High & Dry is my current dish drain. The spindles are a bit flimsy.
@amy good house: me too!
And don't forget the quirky Voodoo knife set.
