Those of us with bedrooms with neutral walls and generally soft color palletes sometimes forget how wonderful and versatile a little black and white can be in a bedspread or pillow. The basic black and white combination can give a room an edge or a touch of modern spark. Or it can serve a more nuanced effect, providing a graphic dimension without compromising a room's otherwise calming and monochromatic tone (as a bright blue or red would, for example).

I love these looks! I had a black/white tree silhouette duvet cover, but it competed with the graphic black headboard I designed (that my grandpa welded). Now I have textured white bedding, which lets the headboard shine and I love it:

I LOVE those horizontal black and white striped pillowcases on the bottom row first pic. Anyone know where to get them?
Does anyone know where to get that black and white quilt in the first row (top picture)? I clicked the link 'Cup of Jo' and it was just about mattresses. It's gorgeous.....
I would like to get that black and white quilt. I'm obsessed with black and white. Can you help me find it. My email is cmayo1963@yahoo.com
Cheryl - It said (upon further scrutiny Schweitzer linens but when I went to their website, nothing.) I have been googling this for quite some time.
Well -- if you find it before me, let me know. Loves it.......
The graphic quilt in the first photo looks like a Hawaiian quilt to me. There are many companies that sell them, just Google it. You'll have to search for a black and white one as most are colors, but I know they exist because I used to have a catalogue that included one very similar to that in the photo.
For instance: http://www.hsq.net/Bed/ulu_b.html
There are many other patterns and I get the feeling one could simply order in black and white.
Spectacular headboard, Tanya!
