
The European-style homes of expatriates and colonial families in colonial-era South East Asia were often black and white. The New York Times shows us one such home in Singapore, currently inhabited by a Connecticut family. The tropical climate dictated that the western style homes limit the amount of sun light that reaches the interior. WHOA! At a rent of $16,140 per MONTH, it's a bit pricey!
I like those restored cabinets and chests that line the walls. And the Chinese coffee table. The place can do with a generous helping of large framed Chinese art prints, too.
