Earlier this year we wrote about a super versatile (and sort of surprising) rug color that can work in nearly any room. But did you know there's also a particular rug pattern that can totally work in any style of room, too? The proof is in these ten lovely rooms of all different sizes, types and styles.

It's black and white stripes!

It's such a bold combination of colors — black and white — and it creates a strong, visually exciting contrast. It's a classic pattern and color palette and just the perfect dose of drama underfoot for nearly any kind of room you can think of.

The incredible thing about black and white stripes is how versatile they can be — choose thin stripes or thick ones. An even distribution or a more random pattern. Each black and white striped rug out there can have a different personality — but you can be assured that it'll work in your home's style!
