Ha, this made me laugh. I bought this globe about a year and a half ago for about $50 at some globe store online. Its the exact same one. AND, as an FYI-- that black strip around the globe (the "equator line") is a piece of black plastic type tape that doesn't stay on quite well. If you love this, find it elsewhere for less than the $110
this isn't the one I bought but even this one is $40 less and looks quite similar....

Wow, this makes me feel less alone! I JUST looked at a black globe the other day and thought about buying it. I think they're great! How ironic.
It looks like it is time to give my original MCM black globe some more love. It will confuse in the geography department though.
