Known for being a drama-inducing color, black does more than just bring boldness; it’s a great color for creating outlines, being a base color for brighter color palettes and just being a fun alternative to lighter summer hues. Not to mention that when black’s partnered with sturdy textiles it can be a great stain fighter! You don’t have to go all out and paint your walls black; start with a bold, graphic, dramatic side chair — inside or out — and see how all your other colors start to pop. And of course one of the best things about black is it looks good on just about any style. Here are ten styles to choose from:
Top Row:
1) West Elm Scoop Back Chairs $59.99 – $329.99
2) CB2 Nest Chair $399
3) CB2 Lotus Antrazit Armless Chair $699
4) West Elm Modern Windsor Accent Chair $399
5) OFFI Perch Lounge Leather $2199
Bottom Row:
6) Emeco 1951 Chair $315 - $435
7) Wisteria Chinese Chippendale Chair $419
8) Aswoon Black Wave Chair
9) IKEA Elias Chair $69.99
10) Blu Dot Real Good Chair $139

The last chair doesn't look so comfortable.....=P
LOVE the modern Windsor line.
IKEA Elias chairs have worked out brilliantly in our house. While the black is nice, I can't help but wonder how they'd look in other colours...

I have sat in the last chair... quirky and fun, but kind of flimsy in retrospect (fold to conform to a piece of cardboard you cut out yourself, okkkkk). I imagine it's one of those chairs you put a sheepskin on by default. XD
Black butterfly chairs are great too -- they almost look like sculpture.
