We're thinking about reclaiming a closet by kicking out the vacuum that currently monopolizes it. We'll replace it with that stick vacuum Gregory blogged a few weeks ago, and use this clamp we found to hang it to the back of our closet door for easy accessibility.
We're also considering it for our closet-less garden to hold our spades and shovels. Simply push in the item. Gravity does the rest.

If only a stick vac could suck up the long fur of a retriever/setter mix.
The electrolux charges by sitting on it's stand, if you try to hang it, it won't recharge.
one of the reasons i love my ergorapido so much is because it has a charging station/stand. i keep it plugged in and just grab & go. much more convenient than hauling out the dyson. and oneWallKitchen, i'd be surprised if it *couldn't* deal with the pet hair issue. again, b/c of its convenience, i run mine around the areas most frequented by my 3 cats once/day. picks up litter they throw out of the box, bits of cardboard from the scratchers they love so much, and tons of cat hair (albeit, none of the cats have long hair).
