Darkly Chic: Black Walls in Any Room

Darkly Chic: Black Walls in Any Room

Black walls shouldn't be as shocking and scary as they once were. Hopefully we've warmed you up to the idea and you're realizing that black walls aren't so bad — they're actually rather dashing, as you can see in the photos gathered here.

Black walls can be in any room; there are no rules against having black walls in the bedroom or living room. It doesn't make your home goth or depressing, it's actually quite the opposite — super chic.

Paint one wall black in the living room and counter balance it with bright colors throughout the rest of the space. In the bathroom, honestly, just go for it. Paint all the walls black and play up the dark by incorporating rich jewel tones like yellow, green and gold.

Go black in the office to create a super masculine vibe. Use a vintage worn leather chair with a large wood desk. Keep the windows open and free of curtains or blinds so it doesn't get too sleepy.
