Elle Decor showcased fashion designer Jason Wu's Manhattan design studio in their October issue. His studio is beautiful, which is to be expected from a designer of his caliber. Although I loved most everything, what really grabbed my attention was how stunning and elegant his newspaper inspired wallpaper looks.
Now, his wall-coverings are made by Elizabeth Dow and are made from pages of The New York Observer, but what I love most of all about this look, is that it can be a relatively easy DIY project.
Upon looking at Jason Wu's studio, I instantly remembered that we had showcased the same look on Apartment Therapy in the form of a house tour: Ian & Stephanie's Charming Salvaged Style. Their version is made from editions of The Breeder's Gazette dated from 1900 to 1914, which adds just the right amount of humor to their room.
Lastly, a little bit ago we posted a bedroom displaying a similar wallpaper-- proving that the look will work well in any room.
