092909_tf_bbcradle0.JPGA trip to Ikea can get crazy with crowds, but the Ikea Marketplace is still the best place in town to grab those small home necessities on the cheap. Plus, if you're lucky—or if you read Unplggd and get tipped off—you'll find a diamond in the rough that's just begging for a new gadget-filled life.

092909_tf_bbcradle1.jpgA stylish bamboo cradle like this sitting on your dresser means that your charging smartphone fits in with your nightstand vignette in a deliberate way. Plus, with a little bit of Velcro, you can keep your power cord from falling behind the back of the dresser.

Ikea Hacker Hrishikesh discovered that his Blackberry fits perfectly inside Ikea's Molger soap dish (not to mention that the bamboo matched the look of his teak dresser). He added a few rubber grip feet to minimize slippage. Then finally, bits of Velcro attached to the back of the dish and to the end of charger meant that the cord, even when not plugged in, would stay put and out-of-the-way.

The best part is this: The total cost for this deluxe hack? A whopping $1.83.
