As a seasoned travel veteran it only makes sense for Yolanda Edwards, Cookie Magazine's travel editor, to compile its first annual "Best of Family Travel" in their July/August issue.

With everything from which airport has the best children's entertainment, how to avoid baggage check-in delays to what to wear when traveling and much more, the list is full of book, Web site, dining and airport recommendations.

Here are some of the gems Yolanda had to offer.

Best Vacation-Planning Web Site: Yolanda loves that it offers family-oriented information like children hotel amenities, and has free booking.

Best Kid-Centric Travel Idea Web Site: Travel for Kids. This site lists useful information you can use "Before You Go, While You're There." Yolanda likes that Travel for Kids offers activity ideas and reading lists for kids.

Best Way to Avoid Uh-Oh Moments: The Bathroom Diaries. Featured on The Nursery a few weeks ago, The Bathroom Diaries gives you a list of public toilets across the globe. Use it for planning your vacation day.

Best Map to Use While Pushing a Stroller: Yolanda recommends
Knopf Mapguides
. She loves that they are slim, well-designed and easily negotiable with just one hand.

Best Way to Bypass Baggage Check-In: Luggage Forward. Luggage Forward is a service which delivers your luggage from your home to your travel destination. Yolanda thinks it's a bit pricey, but worth it.
