• For the Kitchen/Dining Area: provided it's a big enough/integrated space, they suggest a 19" wall mounted LCD HDTV (all of their recommendations are HD and flatscreen). The addition of a swivel mount allows you to watch the TV from any angle in the room.
• For the Bedroom: This picture is an example from Eli Hodapp's bedroom, where he has a slim, smaller-sized TV on a dresser. Domino recommends a 26" size for the bedroom, with HD, which will have the resolution to be viewed from across the room.

The Sharp Aquos LCD HDTV Domino suggests also can double as a computer monitor, making surfing in bed an actual option if you can't already. The Aquos 26" retails for $1,000--a white frame on the TV also helps it blend in with the room around it if you don't have dark furniture, though a black framed Aquos can be found at HSN for $900.
• For the Family Room/Den: Guitar Hero tournaments really rock on something about 42", which is plenty big but not overwhelmingly so. LCDs and Plasmas are thin, which help the TV's large size not take over the room.

I'm hoping to find a projector that hooks up to a cable or TiVo box and is priced below $5k... I may be hoping for way too much.
