Living in trees, not to mention outdoors. This is a revisit to a Dwell article from September 2006. Why? Because it covers a dream-like way of living outdoors. The High Life highlights four creative treetop designs.

With project names like Free Spirit Sphere and Flying Pigsty, the designs are off (or above) the beaten path. These are not your typical treehouses.

One house is suspended from aircraft cables. Another is a geodesic dome structure. Although we unfortunately can't build one in the city, they're worth a look. One of the treehouses is 410 square feet, so it might actually hold some hints for small apartment dwellers like us.
