At the bookstore yesterday, we picked up a special issue of the Good Things mini magazine. Entitled Good Things for the Home, it is a 120 page collection of 67 simple projects. A good example of what you'll find inside is pictured here. Idea #13, Table Trio, is featured on pages 30 & 31. Made from trays securely velcroed to the top of inexpensive wooden stools and then spray painted, they are a budget project that yields an nice-looking result. It is divided into sections: embellish it, multiply it, organize it, rethink it, liven it up and make it cozy. Some other projects we liked: #8, page 20, Cane Topped Table #10, page 24, Stitched Shade #18, page 37, Column of Frames #19, page 38, Stacked Bench Shelves #27, page 50, Soap Dish Shelves (pictured right) #44, page 78, Tray Table #50, page 88, Papered Accents #55, page 94, Patterned Board #56, page 96, Ribbon Lamphade #62, page 106, Versatile Curtain Priced at $3.95, the special issue is on newstands now. Anyone else pick on up yet? Thoughts? Planning to try any projects?
