Blogging Grist: A Review of Non-Clay Cat Litters

It just wouldn't be right to let Pet Month end without addressing our favorite pet-related topic (please note our sarcasm). We know you know what we're talking about.

Cat litter.

Sure, we've blogged about it before, and there have been spirited debates over which brand is best -- but now we have some answers.

Leave it to Grist to do a thorough review of non-clay cat litters. Did you know that over the average life of a cat you could dump 2,000 pounds of litter in a landfill? And if you're using traditional litter (i.e, litter made of clay) that's b-a-d.

Grist reviews six brands -- Feline Pine, Swheat Scoop, World's Best, Good Mews, Fresh Step Crystals, and Cat Country Elite.

Want to know which two brands came out on top? We'll give you one hint: One is a Re-nest favorite.

For the rest of the info you must head to Grist.
