Did you see the Shigeru Ban: Eco-Efficiency Expert slideshow published by the Times on Sunday? The Japanese architect, whose body of work is mostly in Japan, has been completing more work in the US recently. Two of those projects were in NYC and both are in the slideshow. One was the temporary Nomadic Museum constructed on Pier 54 a couple of years ago. The other was the construction of an emergency shelter as part of the Safe exhibit at the MoMA. This 5-minute slideshow walks us through some of Ban's work. The feature is narrated by NYTimes art critic Michael Kimmelman with photos by Nikolas Koenig.
