Free wifi was the future. But lately, its success has come under scrutiny. A recent segment of On The Media chatted with CNet's Marguerite Reardon about whether or not municipal wifi was a dying breed. The answer? A whole lot of bureaucracy, the difficulties of a public/private partnership, and an inferior service compared to other options has stymied its growth in many cities. What about your city? Do you have free wifi in your city? Do you use it? If you don't, why don't you? We want to know your take on the issue, and what improvements need to be made before you'd consider municipal wifi as your home's internet source. Thanks for your photo, Maulleigh!
