If you love the look and aroma of a fresh tree, but don't have the room or want to commit to getting a real one, the December 2007 issue of Sunset Magazine has some great ideas. Our favorite was to simply fill some clear cylinder vases with conifer sprigs. They added strips of ribbon to the bases and labeled them, but we think it could look just as great even without a ribbon...

Another great idea they showed was to simply attach a pine branch to the wall, kind of like a sculpture, and hang ornaments off of it. They put small picture hooks to the wall and hung the branch using twine wire. Check out more of their ideas here, or pick up a copy of the December 2007 issue of Sunset Magazine on newstands now.
