For those of you starting The Spring Cure, maybe this will make you feel better: Sebastopol homeowner Nancy Fiddler is really cleaning out stuff. What's she getting rid of? Something that's been in the family for 11 years, and takes up half the garage....

A mastodon. Yes, you read that right. A 3-million year old prehistoric elephant-like animal (not the heavy metal band -- isn't Wikipedia fascinating?).

I just read this in my local paper. Makes me feel better about all the "old" stuff I've been hanging on to!
Can't get stuff much older than that! :)
Shouldn't she just donate it to the local museum?
well that's one way to get the elephant out of the room...sell it on Ebay!
That was a funny article. I read the comments, and apparently, she tried to give it to a museum or something and no one wanted it permanently.
