A tract of "built green" luxury model homes went up in smoke earlier this week. It's not clear what the vandals (or so-called "ecoterrorists") were targeting: the location of the houses near a sensitive watershed, or the fact that these green homes were 4200 SF and up.
To us, it seems arson isn't the best way to make a political statement, and given the likelihood that the houses will simply be rebuilt, which is our interpretation based on information at the Seattle Street of Dreams website, we're inclined to think this is a real setback to the cause.
