We kind of thought houseboats weren't real. Sure, sure we've seen plenty of them bobbing around; they're ubiquitous along the shores of Lake Union and Portage Bay. But to think that people really live on the water, in a little floating house — it sounds like a dream actually.

Back in May the Seattle Times featured the dockside home of jeweler Norman Turgeon of Turgeon-Raine Jewellers. The houseboat is remarkable for its vaulted ceilings, twelve skylights and custom cabinetry and furniture.

Whoa! I didn't know houseboats came in size XL. The ones in Sausalito are usually tiny and compact.
What a West Coast dream that is. Gorgeous.
